Boy oh boy in lipstick

27 April 2010

Well I have an older sister and I think all younger brothers can relate to this poem to some extent. Luckily for me I don’t have 4 sisters, but Luke has 2 sisters and a mom, and sometimes I worry they may attack him with make up sometime when I am not home. My wife Kelly’s brother Kevin(a) has an interesting story he can tell you. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy Boy in Lipstick.

New poem released – Ball

14 April 2010

I just had a chance to release “Ball” a poem about a little girl who invents a new game. I think this one would work really well with an image – time will tell (help me out Scott!)
Let me know what you think.

Dinner and Snack?

14 April 2010

Last night Julia finished her dinner (well most of it – she wouldn’t touch her stuffing) hopped off of her seat, turned to my wife and asked her “Can I have a snack?”

My wife looked at her in disbelief and said, “Sure, how about some stuffing?”

Good job Kelly !

My New Bed released

13 April 2010

Well Kelly and I went out and spent a good deal of $ on a big girls bed for Julia – we thought she would love it. What kid wouldn’t? A new bed, a new mattress, a new princess comforter and  sheets. Well this is what happened………. My New Bed

Pet Sock on the site

13 April 2010

What happens when a boy has too many allergies and goofy parents… pet sock.

A whole bunch more!

11 April 2010

I was able to add a whole bunch of new poems. I figure over the next month I would like to add another 6 poems.

Thanks for reading.

There-O-Plane added to the site

7 April 2010

I just released There-O-Plane on the poems4julia. I don’t see this as one of my better poems, but it goes over well with the kids – check it out and let me know what you think.

Pancaked

3 April 2010

Pancaked

When mommy makes me pancakes
They’re small, cute and delicious
When daddy makes me pancake
It’s bigger than the dishes

When mommy pours my syrup
She puts a little here and a little there
When daddy pours the syrup
He puts a whole lot … everywhere

It seems pretty obvious to me
There’s mom and dad and in the middle is me

Puppy Doesn’t Know

3 April 2010

Puppy Doesn’t Know

I put her stick behind the house
Shhhh … The puppy doesn’t know

I took her bone and her rubber mouse
Shhhh … The puppy doesn’t know

I moved her food behind the chair
Shhhh … The puppy doesn’t know

I grabbed her slippers – both pair
Shhhh … The puppy doesn’t know

Threw her ball in the garbage – swish
Shhhh … The puppy doesn’t know

Put some coffee in her water dish
Shhhh … The puppy doesn’t know, but boy oh boy that puppy can go!

Popcorn on the Floor

3 April 2010

Popcorn on the Floor

Pieces of popcorn on the floor
They’re there, I can see ’em
I really want to eat ‘em
Can it really be that bad?
Mom says yes, but how ‘bout Dad
