Halloween Parade

25 October 2010

Tonight we went to the Hummelstown Halloween Parade (the kids cleaned up on the candy), Lily just sat there with her bag and watched as it was filled up in no time. She was dressed like a Lady bug, Luke was a bumble bee (he will be a Jedi one day), Julia was the cutest little Strawberry Shortcake.

last week we went to the Middletown Parade. I started to think about, as a kid I can’t remember going to a Halloween Parade, in fact the first Halloween parade I can recall going to was in NYC – the village, which for the record is much different than the Hummelstown parade.

Kids got it pretty good these days!

Julia’s Famous Classmate

17 October 2010

It turns out that Julia has a very famous classmate. Today in church the pastor mentioned God – seems appropriate. Julia looks over and says to my wife Kelly… Hey I know him, I go to school with him. Kelly explained that in school she learns about him, but he is not actually in her class.

It got me thinking though, how cool would it be to go to school with God. You’d hear someone say “oh my God” and you’d be like, “hey I know him, we were lab partners, great guy – loved wearing sandles.”
