The Twins Dig Ava Barber and Lawrence Welk – Go Fig
Tonight it was just the Twins and me hanging out all day, normally before bed we would watch half of Sesame Street and once Abby’s Flying Fairy School is over (~7:30) we go upstairs to bed.
Well, tonight being a Saturday means that all bets are off with regards to TV’s schedule. So I threw on WITF (our local public broadcasting station) which was playing a marathon of Lawrence Welk – it was like being thrown back in a time to the Catskills during the 70′s.
So the clip below came on and the twins both stopped and just stared until the song was over. It was really weird, I think they realized that this was so very different from what we normally watch and listen to.
As for all of the other acts, it was like looking at a car wreck. I’ve never seen so many powder blue suites in all my life.
Speaking of Lawrence Welk, below is my favorite parody. SNL does a great job here.
On a side note, if you watch closely you’ll notice that when they say “my boyfriend, my husband, my fiance” they all put their hands out to show their rings but nobody’s wearing any.
