Can I Go Outside?
Daddy, can I go outside?
Sure, but …. wait
Before you do
Do you know what day it is?
You May just find something new
See on the 6th day of May the sky grows grey
Then witches fly down and scoop kids away
And place them in cages where they are to stay
But sure .… you can go outside to play
Daddy, do you think we can stay in here
Absolutely… thought you’d never ask my dear

About the poem Can I Go Outside?:
There are days that I can’t wait to get outside and play with my kids, run around the yard, pull out the bikes and balls, maybe even head over to the park. Then there are those days that I just want to veg out on the couch… please, please don’t make me move! And when those days hit, I say there is nothing wrong with using the power of a kids imagination against them. It’s really not that cruel, at least that’s what I keep telling myself?

I loved that you are so creative!
I loved it. It made sense. It was senitive and humorous. If had a picture,it would be Norman Rockwell.
