I tried to go to bed and sleep
But my beds too big for meNew Bed Kids Poems

I got under the covers and put my head down
But my bed is just too far off the ground

I closed my eyes and held Mr. Bear tight
But my bed is just not right

So there’s just one thing left to do
Mommy and Daddy……….. can I sleep with you?

About the poem My New Bed:

This poem is a true story, I mean really true. First Julia had a crib, then we converted it into a small bed, then we got Julia a princess toddler bed, and then, well then that was too small so we went out shopping for new beds. We found the most beautiful bed and she got a princess pillow and comforter to match. I built it, made the bed and then she said “Mommy, Daddy, it’s too big.” So that’s where the poem ends, and yes Julia did sleep in our bed that first night. But then you know what happened next? Well it turns out that there is a really cool thing about twin size beds, not only is there more room in the bed to sleep, but Mommy can lie down with you while you fall asleep.
