Princess Soup

I looked under the bed
The couch
The chairs
Can’t find my princess anywhere

The porch
The bathroom
And the stairs
Didn’t find my dollie there

Asked my Mom, she nodded yes
The princess with the pearly dress?
Was on the shelf when
…umm
…well
…oops
Tonight we’re having princess soup

About the poem Princess Soup:

When I wrote the poem Princess Soup I had two goals:

1. Get Julia to be horrified
2. Get Julia to laugh her head off

Both were a success. What I hadn’t expected were the 20 questions that followed.
