Me
When I’m silly
I cross my legs
When I’m serious
I cross my arms
When I’m scared
I hide beneath the covers to keep me out of harm
When I’m happy
You’ll see my smile
When I’m mad
My face gets red
And when I’m tired
I rub my eyes, kiss my Dad and go to bed

About the poem Me:
One thing I’ve learned from reading poems to the kids is that when there is an opportunity for them to interact, they love it. With this poem I was really trying to capture different emotions and give them a change to interact – get involved, and of course steal one more kiss before bed.
