Last week someone stole Mom’s keys
She was sure that she’d put them away
stealer kids poem
They must be stolen, there’s no other way
But I think she just misplaced’em

Last night Dad’s wallet – it went missing too
We looked high and low and it couldn’t be found
There must be a thief who keeps sneakin’ around
Unless he just misplaced’em

It could be that this invisible thief
Steals then puts back all he’s snagged
In Dad’s blue jeans or Mom’s handbag
Or maybe … they just misplaced’em
